March has been a busy month! We celebrated Hannah's 2nd birthday, got a pony, celebrated 8 years of marriage and had some visitors. It's always busy around here but lately we've been having lots of fun! As many of you know, my dear husband isn't an enthusiastic traveller. In fact, he'd pretty much prefer to never leave the tri county area thankyouverymuch! But, when he married me, we developed an understanding. Some of my family and very dear friends don't live right here in Shelby County (how dare they! what are they thinking?!) and therefore, it is part of the plan that we will occasionally travel to visit them. But as everyone knows, traveling isn't a piece of cake with two small children and a menagerie of animals at home to have someone care for. We get around often enough but needless to say, we LOVE when friends and family come to visit us! Our house has two guest bedrooms to accomodate visitors and an uncle down south continues to dub our house 'The Bridges Bed and Breakfast.' This month, my two very best friends visited us, from Tennessee and Ohio!

Here we are on our wonderful porch on our 8th wedding anniversary, March 23rd.

Becky is my oldest friend and we just could not be closer. We've known each other since elementary school and been close friends since we were in 6th grade and part of the same youth group. Even though we are the best of friends, we've lived in different states now for over 13 years. We have mastered the long distance friendship...dating back to before email and texting! She visited this month, as she and her son do every six months. Becky is also a Type 1 Diabetic and her son and Hannah are both in a 3 year research study at Riley Hospital for Children, on the Nutritional Prevention of Type 1 Diabetes. Every 6 months a check up is required and so they make the trip up. Those visits are the biggest reason Becky joined the study. We love when her husband, Scott, is able to come too. He is working on his M.B.A. right now though and the course schedule doesn't allow for being gone a lot. In April, Becky and I are going to Los Angeles with another friend and we cannot wait!! Don't worry, I'll post pictures.

Austin (Becky's son) and the girls in their pajamas.

Earlier in the month, my other wonderful best friend, Megan (above), visited from Colombus, Ohio. She and her family moved there last fall and with a new baby and many inches of snow this winter, Megan has been...um...slowly adjusting to her new home. She enjoys coming back to the Indy area to feel the comfort of old friends and we love having her around. I miss her SO much!
Her sweet little guy, Noah, is so adored that he simply had to be fed his baby food on the floor. That way, the girls could each be next to him. Above, you can see that he was under the watchful eyes of my girls for every second of his visit. They want to hold him, snuggle him and probably would eat him up if we let them!

Hannah and Noah

Since my best friends have boys so far, and I have girls, we're all hoping that our beautiful girls will one day fall in love with one of these handsome young men!
An Easter post is soon to follow...just not tonight. I took lots of pictures and have to get them organized. We had a wonderful Easter celebrating the Risen Savior and hope all of you did, too. Biggest news of the weekend though, our 9th niece or nephew is on the way! To everyone's surprise, Andy's brother and his wife are expecting their 4th child!

I love the one of the girls next to Noah eating on the floor! And the PJ pic with Austin is really cute, too. What a blessing to be able to keep up with them (Becky and Megan) over so many years!
