We did NOT let her drink that whole Diet Pepsi, don't be alarmed. She had a couple of sips and liked holding the cold cup because it was a HOT day.

The Indiana State Fair
Just a quick post about our quick trip to the Indiana State Fair. Andy and I both love the fair and if it didn't take an hour to get there (not including parking, walking to the exhibits, etc.) we'd probably go daily! This year the girls got in on the fun and we all had a great time, even though our youngest fair goer got hot and tired, therefore causing us to head for home. You won't be surprised to hear that we spent nearly all of our time in the livestock barns where we walked down row after row of draught horses (Andy's favorite and a weakness of mine, too), petted calves (Abigail's favorite) and saw the sheep, including a baby lamb (my favorite). Hannah laughed and loved them all, calling each animal a baby puppy! Between fair time and bed time, Abigail requested: a baby sheep that is soft, a baby horse that she could hold (had to explain that even baby horses are too big to hold) and then settled on a pony. On the way home she also exclaimed, "Oh shoot! We forgot to see the piggies!" We accidentally skipped the swine barn and when we realized it, didn't feel like backtracking. Andy recovered from this by telling her not to worry, we have friends with baby pigs and could visit them anytime. Crisis averted.

I'm disappointed Hannah couldn't drink the whole cup. That would have been one heck of a story. But standing next to the calves, she looks like she's ready for the 8-second bell to start. If Abby's an OSHA inspector, doesn't Hannah have to be a daredevil?
THose little farm girls!!!
Sounds like it's about time to add some larger animals to the Bridges Family Farm! Maybe you could spend your week in September researching that...(ha! ha!)
