It had been a couple weeks since the K&K team made a road trip, so we ventured north to Hoosier Land for Abby's 5th Birthday.
As is typical with the Bridges crew, the new toy was the buggy or wagon that Champ pulls for homemade wagon rides around the front yard.
When Ms. K and I pulled in, Andy had Champ in mid-trot around the front yard, pulling this golf cart. All I could think of was, well, somebody's been on Craigslist and this is the current toy.
Polk and Biscuits kept Hannah entertained
While Champ is a bit out of shape, and rides like you're sitting on a four-legged water bed, the girls loved sitting on him. We would have liked to get him out more, and pull the wagon(s), but the heat was too much to handle.
On Friday, Polk, Pops, Kristi, Abby, Hannah and I went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum.
Bridges and Halseys and I took the kids a year or two ago, but it was fun to see some of the new exhibits and the old standbys. Abby really liked the old-fashioned barber shop we saw at the end.
The favorite exhibit for all of the girls was Barbie.
Hannah loved to see the dollhouses, including one that had a harp in it like Aunt Gracie's.
Pops was on a constant search for the nearest bench...
...One time, he stopped to tell us his favorite Barbie memory.
On Saturday, Abby invited nine friends over for a party.
Abby had a chocolate cake with marshmallows on top, and had a big grin on her face all day while she played with her friends. The organized activity at the party was to make tissue paper flowers, which Laura and Kristi supervised and offered help/suggestions.

Thursday morning, while Kristi did school work, Abbs, Hannah and I went to Franklin to hang out with Polk and Pops. But first, this big piece of farm equipment was in our way. After we waited a few minutes, Abby said, 'C'mon, would you move out of the way, geez. Then Hannah goes, 'Get outta the way!' in her trademark mean-as-a-hornet nature. It was hilarious. And of course, right at that spot, Abby waved to Uncle Matt Brown. You know, you can't go a an acre or two without running into someone who knows the Bridges, or vice versa.
Hannah was much more verbal than at Christmas, the last time we saw her, and Abby has grown completely out of the big toddler stage, and is a full-fledged pre-school kid.

It was great having you all visit and so nice that your trip happened to coincide with Abby's birthday! The girls really enjoyed hanging out with you all and Andy and I loved getting caught up on the wedding plans. Thanks for making the trip!
These are priceless! It was the next best thing to being there. That's great that you made it back to the Children's Museum--that has to give you a leg up on the Uncle of the Year prize. Looks like BB had a great time there as well! :) The car ride behind the farm equipment recap was hilarious--I love their voices and priceless commentary. Ruthie, that cake was beautiful!
Wow, Bonnet ----- you really outdid yourself this time!!! All those pictures plus 3 videos! You got some great ones and I was glad to see the party pictures and the cake before it was cut. Yes, we all were glad the K&K team made the trip!!
