My Hoosier nieces made the 10-hour trek across the mountains and through the tunnels for a weekend visit in Anderson. They arrived Thursday night with Laura and Mom. On Friday, we hung out at my apartment, then fed ducks at the park, and walked around the pond. There is a balloon festival this weekend, and Abby really enjoyed watching all of the balloons.
Everybody went to the football game I covered Friday night, the cross-town rivalry game. Abby didn't know whether to watch the bands, cheerleaders, players, or other fans. There was so much to watch, she didn't have time to eat a hot dog! We couldn't get Hannah to be quiet, she was almost like a play-by-play commentator after reading Uncle Keith's stories (one included her) about the game.
Saturday, we just relaxed at the apartment, and Hannah enjoyed rolling around on the carpet, and playing with toys. After a big Thursday and Friday, Abby took a three-hour nap. She liked watching Dora and Boots on the big tv. Abby also enjoyed playing on the computer, especially Barbie.com. Ask her, she'll tell you all about it. She also thought it was funny to see Uncle Keith on the videos on gofridayfootball.com.
Later Saturday we ate at Mama Penn's a local Cracker Barrell-esque restaurant, then went to the Balloonfest where we watched the balloons and bunches of people walking around. We also fed the ducks again, because it was such a hit on Friday.
The girls left about 8:30 this morning, and are hoping to be home for supper. My friends and I are going to a concert at the Balloonfest, and will have a little picnic.

Sounds like you are quite the host and tour guide! I'm glad everyone had such a good time and that the ducks are still winning popularity contests. :)
