Monday was a very exciting day for our little ballerina! This is 'watch week' at Style Dance Academy and that meant that parents, grandparents, etc. could watch classes. Actually, it was at least as exciting for Abigail's parents and grandparents as it was for her! Abby takes weekly gymnastics and dance classes called Tot Gym and Tot Dance. Each class is 30 minutes long and she loves it! Usually on Tuesday she announces that today is dance day again...and then we have the conversation about how Monday is dance day and Monday won't come again until next week. Everyone had a great time on Monday, Andy's mom & dad and my mom & dad were all there, along with lots of other girls' family members. We saw the little routines that Abby performs for us at home and could fit in the missing pieces that she sometimes leaves out.
Highlights were 'Miss Puffy' which is a stretching routine that begins like this "My friend Puffy sits up very tall, the bottoms of her feet together, hands on her ankles, too..." and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" with parent participation. Abigail chose Andy to join the circle with her and he was a good sport about it. There will be two more 'watch weeks' before the end of the year recital, in June.

What a sweet little dancer!
It's especially great to see pictures like these when you think about all that has happened in the last 3+ years--Praise the Lord!
Where's the picture of Andy doing the Puffy routine?
Gracie wants me to add that this is when she started teaching Clara to associate the days of the week with a color. Of course, this was also the end of my being helpful in the schedule department (colorblindness is no laughing matter--either before or after kindergarten).
But regardless of how you deal with the days of the week, you owe the world a picture of Andy in dance class.
"Other" andy
Okay...I'll ask Dad and Sharon if either of them got a picture of Andy dancing. It was very funny! He had on his neon green sweatshirt (for work) and kept saying, "Do you think they can see me??" Of course, 'Other Andy' that might not have stood out to you! And yes, Gracie, everytime she pointed her little toes I thanked God for a foot that's now straight!
