In the end, his sense of humor had clearly touched the nurses and Urology of Indiana. They all signed a graduation certificate for him and almost everyone mentioned how they'd miss his happy face and silly jokes. That's our Pops!

No More Radiation!
After 8 weeks of radiation treatments, five days a week, Pops finally had his last treatment on Thursday, August 4th! We were all so happy for him and Dad was clearly relieved. So, we had a mini celebration with steaks on the grill, sweet corn from the garden and a cake for dessert. We know it was a marathon and couldn't have been much more uncomfortable, but Dad got through it with very few complaints. Occasionally he'd announce that he felt like a lab rat, or that he was tired of all these doctor's visits, but overall we thought his attitude was remarkably good.

Yay! I'm so glad it is over, too, and also glad you all could give him a sufficient celebration!
Yep, we're so glad it's over. At least he could recycle some old jokes on a new audience. Hopefully the next step will be quick and relatively pain free.
