Gravy (Graby) and other updates

Since Biscuits was introduced on the blog, it's only fair that we introduce Gravy as well. Please forgive me for the delay in doing so, he hid under the porch for over 2 days! Once he came out it was only to eat or drink. After a few days of this he became much more trusting and now plays with all of us, and Biscuits, often. Even Hannah now catches the kittens and holds them on a regular basis. Abigail is proud that she can catch and hold both of them at the same time!

Gravy (we are sometimes corrected when Abigail calls him Graby and wants us to do the same).

Biscuits and Gravy playing near my hostas. They treat the flower beds like a jungle, full of adventure!

Supper time for the kitties

And while we're here, some brief updates on the girls...

Do you like Hannah's new hairstyle? I love it! This little girl is so much fun! She entertains herself and plays so well. Today in church she played quietly the entire hour and ten minutes, entertaining Andy, myself and our entire pew, plus several people behind us. She's learning how to show affection gently, especially toward her sister and kittens. She has recently really started walking! Top distances are about 15 steps in a row. Still no great hurry to really take off but she's is really progressing well. She still talks all the time, new words are cropping up almost daily, such an entertainer! Once we found out we would be having another baby I remember praying for guidance and calm. I wanted more than anything to have a baby that I/we enjoyed and delighted in and do we ever! After the stress and worry of Abigail's first year, this little girl is a breath of fresh air and so silly and fun. We love them equally, of course, but they are such little individuals!

Abigail is growing into such a sweet little girl. She'll be four a week from tomorrow and has something fun to say and do all the time. Lately she's often saying "I have a good idea to tell you..." or "Um, I smell like something..." which means that she smells something good, bad or that reminds her of someone. She's really enjoying baby dolls lately and as always, loves being outside. She, Daddy, Mommy and Hannah are 'buddies together' and she reminds us of this all the time. Plus, the occasional spontaneous need for a hug or kiss and a special walk across the room just to say ' I love you!'

The garden is not having the best of years but we are trying to make the best of it. Today alone we've eaten a blackberry cobbler (courtesy of Polk), mulberries right off the tree, cooked apples from the apple tree out back and we've got green beans broken and ready to cook tomorrow. Yum, summer is great! A little warmer temps would really help but this is Indiana, if you don't like the weather, wait to see what tomorrow will bring.

So cute! I love the pigtails and Abby's smile is so sweet. They are really growing up and it's fun to read what they're like these days. Wish we could send you some warmer weather! :)

Again, we can send you some heat and, just to be nice, a little humidity, to really make your summer complete.
Make sure the girls hang on to Biscuits and Graby because I heard the factory that Clyde works out just announced layoffs, so they don't want to come down here. =)
